The House of Alphonse Daudet in Draveil
At the initiative of the owners of the house to revive this place, the house of Alphonse Daudet is a place of artistic and cultural encounters, a residence of French-speaking storytellers since 1994. Only the house and the garden that surrounds it are accessible.
Alphonse Daudet arrived in the region in 1867 at the age of 27, until he died at the age of 57.
He lived first in Vigneux, then in Draveil in the district of Champrosay. Alphonse Daudet wrote most of his work there and was inspired by the region in many fairy tales and novels.
